Types of Therapy

My work is informed by a number of therapeutic approaches, allowing me to respond to each person as an individual. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all model, I draw on different ways of working depending on what feels most helpful, supportive and appropriate.

How I Work

Every person’s experience is unique, and counselling should reflect that. My approach is rooted in relationship, curiosity and respect, while also being shaped by different therapeutic models that help deepen understanding and support change.

Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt therapy focuses on present-moment awareness. It can help bring attention to what you are feeling, thinking and experiencing right now, and how past patterns may still be showing up in your life. This approach can support greater self-awareness, clarity and connection.

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic therapy is grounded in the belief that each person has value, potential and the capacity for growth. It places importance on empathy, authenticity and acceptance, helping create a space where you can explore your experience without judgement.

Play Therapy

Play can offer a valuable way of expressing thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to put into words. Where appropriate, creative and expressive ways of working can be used to support exploration, communication and understanding.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is a way of understanding the different parts of ourselves, including those that protect us, those that carry pain, and those that may feel in conflict. This approach can help develop compassion, insight and healing by making space for the different aspects of your inner world.
